6 Check the readings
6.1 Last measurements
After communication is established, check the values under Devices – Tesla in the Reduxi Configurator as an additional test.
6.2 Enable control by Reduxi
For advanced battery control, integrate the device into the Reduxi strategy. Under Devices in the Reduxi Configurator, set the control type to AUTO. Only then do strategy commands affect the battery.
To reduce energy costs with dynamic prices and tariffs, define a strategy as described in Strategies for Reduxi controller.
Images and instructions were gathered in cooperation with Moja elektrarna.
✓ Summary
Preparation (Points 1–3): Connect the gateway following the Tesla articles. Log in to the Powerwall web interface and note its IP. Set a static IP.
Tesla Powerwall (Points 2–3): First password: last five characters of the Gateway password. Optionally verify the IP with Advanced IP Scanner.
Add to Reduxi (Points 4–5): Log in to the Reduxi Configurator, click + Add device, enter the settings and run Test communication.
Go live (Point 6): Check the last measurements and set the control type to AUTO.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Forgot the Tesla Powerwall password | Tap Change or Forgot Password on the login page and follow the on-screen instructions (see Point 2). |
| Communication stops after the IP changed | Set a static IP address for the Powerwall and enter it in the Reduxi Configurator (see Point 3). |
| IP address unknown | Verify the Powerwall IP with Advanced IP Scanner (see Point 3). |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
| Communication test fails, device shows offline | Check reachability, IP address / port / unit ID, and that the protocol is enabled on the device. |
