1. Setting up ABB Terra charging station
If we want Reduxi Controller to be connected to ABB Terra charging station, it is necessary to adjust specific settings in the charging station itself.
In the device configuration, it is necessary to set Modbus communication to slave.
2. Adding a device to Reduxi
Once ABB Terra EV charging station is configured correctly and connected to Reduxi Controller, it can be added to Reduxi Controller. Instructions for accessing the controller are available at the link Reduxi Controller.
After logging in to the Reduxi Configurator, the dashboard is displayed. Select the Add Device option in the lower left window to add devices.
In the next step, select the type of device, type and enter the name of the added device. In our case, when adding ABB Terra charging station, we select:
- in the device type field: Car charger,
- in box type: ABB Terra AC wallbox and
- in the Name field: specify any name (for example, ABB Terra charging station, charging station).
After entering the information, click on the right bottom option Next.
In the next window, we define the communication channel and configure the device. The picture below shows the configurator for connection over Reduxi Gateway.
Normally, Modbus unit ID is set to 1.
Use the test communication button to check if the device communication is set correctly.
When we get the answer that the two devices communicate successfully with each other, we can choose the option Next.
In the last window of adding a Schrack charging station, you can adjust certain settings according to your own needs.
3. Display of data from ABB Terra electric vehicle charging station
