1. How to configure SolarEdge Solar Power Plant Inverter to allow Modbus TCP communication with Reduxi Controller?
1.1 Turn off the Inverter
Turn off the Inverter with the switch at the bottom of the front-end panel. Move the switch from 1 to 0.
Please wait for the energy production of the inverter to go to 0 W.
Please also turn the main switch from the ON to the OFF position.
1.1 Unscrew the 6x screws on the front-end cover
1.2 Enable display mode configuration
Go to the display unit, where you will find four small buttons, and press and hold the right one for 4 seconds.
1.3 You will need to insert the password
The default password is "12312312" (found in SolarEdge documentation) by pressing different buttons. The second button is for number 1, the third is for number 2, and the fourth is for number 3.
After inserting the correct password, it will automatically go to the next menu.
1.4 Set correct communication
Press the third button to go down in the menu. Press the third button so many times that the sign ">" will be in position "Communication", and press the fourth button to enter this Communication menu.
1.5 Set TCP connection
Please check the LAN configuration and enable Modbus TCP communication. Set Modbus TCP port and define static network IP (recommended).
1.5.1 Choose LAN Conf menu
Again, press the third button to go down within the menu to select "LAN Conf" and the fourth button to enter the "LAN Conf" menu.
1.5.2 Choose IP Config menu

Insert the inverter's static "IP address", Mask, GW, and DNS (optional).
Press the fourth button and hold it to confirm the insert settings.
1.6 Go back to the main menu
Go back to the menu by pressing the first button.
1.7 Set Server Port
Press the third button, go to the "Set Server Addr" menu, and insert the Modbus unit ID. After inserting it, hold the fourth button, wait till the information "Applied" appears, and then release it.
Go back to the menu described by pressing the first button.
1.8 Set Modbus TCP <Dis>
Press the third button to go down within the menu, and select "Modbus TCP <Dis>" by pressing the fourth button.
1.8.1 Set port number
Insert the port number (default is 502). You can change it by pressing the second and the third buttons or leaving port number 502 and holding the fourth button until you see the notification "applied". When you see this message, release the fourth button.
1.8.2 Lock the screen
Pressing the first button lets you return to the menu to lock the screen.
If you do not lock it manually, it will automatically lock the display back in 10-15 minutes and turn off its backlight.
1.9 Gather information for Reduxi Configurator
You are now finished with the configuration, and you can add the inverter to the controller by using the static IP address, port, and Modbus unit ID you have entered.
2. Add the device to Reduxi Configurator
First, you can log in to Reduxi Configurator using Reduxi Configurator via the browser.
1. Click Add Device
2. Enter Basic Settings
3. Select Communication Channel
Please enter the settings you used in the section Configure Ethernet connectivity of Web Interface for SolarEdge inverter.
4. Enter Device Configuration
5. Enter and choose Advance settings
