1 Technical documentation
Manufacturer documents for the Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 3):
- Installing a Wall Connector – Tesla installer page: commissioning, Wi‑Fi connection, registration and firmware updates.
- Wall Connector 3 Install Manual (Type 2, EMEA, en-GB) – Installation manual with specifications, commissioning and power sharing.
- Power Management – Static, dynamic and group power management.
2 Required equipment
- Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 3), installed and commissioned
- Wi‑Fi network at 2.4 GHz with WPA2 security for the Wall Connector
- Reduxi Controller in the same network
- Laptop or tablet with internet access to configure the device in Reduxi
3 Install and commission the Wall Connector
3.1 Installation and commissioning
Find the instructions to connect and configure the Wall Connector on the manufacturer page: Installing a Wall Connector.
3.2 Wi‑Fi connection
- The Wall Connector supports 2.4 GHz networks (802.11 b/g/n) with WPA2 security.
- Each unit has its own Wi‑Fi network name and password. They are printed on a label at the rear of the unit and on the cover of the Quick Start Guide.
- A Wi‑Fi connection is not required for power management. Tesla recommends it for firmware updates and remote troubleshooting.
3.3 Power management
The Gen 3 Wall Connector has three power management features:
- Static: the installer selects a fixed power level during installation.
- Dynamic: the charge rate follows the load of the house. It needs a Tesla-approved power meter, sold separately, and works with a single Wall Connector.
- Group: up to six Gen 3 Wall Connectors share power.
4 Log in to the Reduxi web interface
You can open the Reduxi web interface in two ways:

5 Add the Wall Connector to Reduxi
Use these steps to add a new Wall Connector or to edit an existing one.
5.1 Basic settings
Log in to the Reduxi Configurator via the browser (see Point 4) and click Add device.
In the first step, enter the basic settings of the device. Then click Next.
5.2 Communication settings
Select the communication channel and enter the advanced settings of the Wall Connector.
5.3 Test communication
Click Test communication at the bottom of the wizard. It reads the Tesla Wall Connector once and saves nothing. If the test succeeds, click Done: only Done creates the device.

6 Check the readings
6.1 Last measurements
After communication is established, check the values under Devices in the Reduxi Configurator. Reduxi only reads the Wall Connector.
✓ Summary
Preparation (Points 1–2): Read the Tesla documents and prepare the equipment, including a 2.4 GHz WPA2 Wi‑Fi network.
Wall Connector (Point 3): Install and commission the Wall Connector with the Tesla One app. Set the power management.
Add to Reduxi (Points 4–5): Log in to the Reduxi Configurator, add the device and test the communication.
Go live (Point 6): Check the readings. Reduxi reads the Wall Connector.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| The Wall Connector does not join the Wi‑Fi network | It supports only 2.4 GHz networks with WPA2 security (802.11 b/g/n). Check the network type. |
| Network name and password of the Wall Connector are unknown | They are printed on a label at the rear of the unit and on the cover of the Quick Start Guide. |
| Reduxi does not control the Wall Connector | The Tesla Wall Connector Gen 3 is read only in Reduxi. |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
| Communication test fails, device shows offline | Check reachability, IP address / port / unit ID, and that the protocol is enabled on the device. |
