How to connect Junkers SupraEco heat pump with Reduxi controller
Add your Junkers SupraEco heat pump to the Reduxi Controller via EMS‑Bus and RS485.
1 Technical documentation
Instructions on how to connect and configure the heat pump are on the manufacturer web pages.
- Operating manual Supraeco SAS 4...15-2 ASE – Bosch Home Comfort, document no. 6721824301, German, covers operation and settings with the HPC 410 control unit
- Planning guide SupraEco SAS Hybrid HSC – Bosch Home Comfort, document no. 6 720 806 264, German
- Junkers user manuals – Link from the original article
2 Required equipment
You need these components:
- Reduxi Controller
- Reduxi EMS‑Bus to RS485 converter
- Laptop or tablet with internet access to configure the device in Reduxi
3 Connect and configure the heat pump
Connect and configure the Junkers SupraEco as described on the manufacturer web pages. See Point 1.
The heat pump communicates over the EMS‑Bus. A Reduxi converter changes the EMS‑Bus to RS485 so that the Reduxi Controller can read the device.
The values are listed in the List of supported devices.
4 Log in to the Reduxi web interface
You can open the Reduxi web interface in two ways:

5 Add the heat pump to Reduxi
Use these steps to add a new heat pump or to edit an existing one.
5.1 Basic settings
Log in locally to the Reduxi Configurator on the controller (see Point 4) and click + Add device.
Enter the basic settings of the device:
- Device type:
HVAC - Type: the
EMS Bus - Boilerentry, which includes SupraEco, as named in the List of supported devices - Name: a name of your choice, for example Junkers SupraEco
5.2 Communication settings
Select the communication channel and enter the device configuration:
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Communication channel | RS485 |
| Modbus unit ID | Normally 1
|
5.3 Advanced settings
Enter and choose the advanced settings.
5.4 Test communication
Click Test communication at the bottom of the wizard. It reads the Junkers SupraEco once and saves nothing. If the test succeeds, click Done: only Done creates the device.

6 Check the readings
6.1 Last measurements
After communication is established, check the values under Devices – Junkers SupraEco in the Reduxi Configurator as an additional test.
6.2 Control by Reduxi
The List of supported devices shows the level of integration Read for the EMS‑Bus entry that includes SupraEco. Reduxi reads the values of the device. It does not control it.
✓ Summary
Preparation (Points 1–2): Open the Bosch and Junkers documents. Prepare the controller, the EMS‑Bus to RS485 converter and a laptop or tablet.
Junkers SupraEco (Point 3): Connect and configure the heat pump as described by the manufacturer. The converter changes the EMS‑Bus to RS485.
Add to Reduxi (Points 4–5): Log in to the Reduxi web interface. Click + Add device, enter the basic settings, the communication settings and the advanced settings. Run Test communication and click Done.
Go live (Point 6): Check the readings under Devices. Reduxi reads the values of the heat pump.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Test communication fails | Check the Modbus unit ID. Normally 1 is used. Check that the communication channel is RS485. |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
| Communication test fails, device shows offline | Check reachability, IP address / port / unit ID, and that the protocol is enabled on the device. |
