How to connect Sanxing S34U18 energy meter with Reduxi controller
The Sanxing S34U18 is very similar to the Iskraemeco AM550. Connect it to the Reduxi Controller with the Reduxi P1 converter.
1 Technical documentation
The Sanxing S34U18 is a three-phase electricity meter from Ningbo Sanxing Smart Electric. It is listed as Sanxing SX631 S34U18. The meter is very similar to the Iskraemeco AM550. Reduxi reads it as DLMS-push. According to the E.ON Hungary P1 port document, the meter has a P1 port with an RJ12 connector.

5 Add the Sanxing S34U18 to Reduxi
5.1 Basic settings
Log in to the Reduxi Configurator (see Point 4) and click + Add device. Enter the basic settings:
- Device type:
Energy meter - Type:
Sanxing S34U18 - Name: a name of your choice
5.2 Communication settings
Select the communication channel and enter the device configuration as described in the articles in Point 3.
5.3 Test communication
Click Test communication at the bottom of the wizard. It reads the Sanxing S34U18 once and saves nothing. If the test succeeds, click Done: only Done creates the device.

6 Check the readings
6.1 Last measurements
After communication is established, check the values under Devices in the Reduxi Configurator as an additional test.
6.2 Use the meter data in Reduxi
To achieve maximum flexibility and energy cost reduction with dynamic prices and dynamic tariffs, define a strategy as described in Strategies for Reduxi controller.
✓ Summary
Preparation (Points 1–2): Prepare the S34U18 meter, the Reduxi P1 converter with RJ12 cable, the Reduxi Controller and a laptop.
Sanxing S34U18 (Point 3): Follow the articles for the Iskraemeco AM550 and the P1 converter. The meters are very similar.
Add to Reduxi (Points 4–5): Log in to the Reduxi web interface. Add the device as Energy meter, type Sanxing S34U18. Test the communication.
Go live (Point 6): Check the last measurements and use the meter data in your strategy.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Test communication fails | Check the physical connection to the P1 port first. Then follow the troubleshooting steps in the P1 converter article. |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
| Communication test fails, device shows offline | Check reachability, IP address / port / unit ID, and that the protocol is enabled on the device. |
