How to connect GL Charge LiteBox EV charger with Reduxi controller
Connect the GL Charge LiteBox to the Reduxi Controller via OCPP 1.6 JSON. Reduxi can execute the DLMS to protect the installation.
1 Required equipment
You need these components:
- Reduxi Controller
- GL Charge LiteBox charger
- Laptop or tablet with internet access to configure the device in Reduxi
2 Configure the charger
2.1 Open the browser interface of the charger
The PC and the charger must be in the same network. Then you can open the browser interface of the charger in your preferred browser.
- Enter the IP address of the charger and add port
8080in the browser. Example:10.150.1.104:8080 - Log in with username
adminand passwordglc999

2.2 Browser interface (charger configuration)
Set the charger as follows:
-
Charger mode: set to
1 = APP -
Charger ID: set a value of your choice. Example:
1234 - Server URL: enter the server URL of the Reduxi Controller (see Point 4, Point 4.2)
- Authentication Key: delete it

4 Add the charger to Reduxi
Use these steps to add a new charger or to edit an existing one.
4.1 Basic settings
Log in locally to the Reduxi Configurator on the controller (see Point 3) and press the Add device button.

Below, two buttons side by side: Add device (plus icon, marked with a blue highlight box) and Add strategy (plus icon). Below them two entries: Settings and Profile. The area to the right of the sidebar is empty white.
In the first step (basic settings), select the basic parameters of the device:
- Device type:
EV charger - Type:
OCPP 1.6 - JSON - Name: a name of your choice

Fields: Device type * : empty dropdown; Type * : empty dropdown; Name * : empty text field. Buttons: Back (bottom left), Next (bottom right, dark).
After you have entered everything, press Next.
4.2 Communication settings
The second step sets the communication channel for OCPP.
- Paste the Device identifier into the first field of the communication channel. It is the charger ID you set in the browser interface (see Point 2, Point 2.2).
- The OCPP 1.6 JSON protocol needs the server OCPP URL. The Reduxi Controller generates it. You can copy the URL directly from the communication channel.
Example URL: ws://10.150.120/ocpp/1.6/json/

4.3 Test communication
Click Test communication at the lower right, below the communication channel fields. It checks that OCPP communication is established. If the test succeeds, click Done: only Done creates the device.

5.2 Monitor the charger in the cloud
After you have added the device in the Reduxi Configurator, you can monitor it in the Reduxi cloud application.
✓ Summary
Preparation (Points 1–2): Collect the equipment. Open the charger browser interface on port 8080. Set charger mode APP, the charger ID and the Reduxi server URL. Delete the authentication key.
Log in (Point 3): Log in to the Reduxi Configurator on the controller.
Add to Reduxi (Point 4): Add an EV charger of type OCPP 1.6 - JSON, paste the charger ID as device identifier and run Test communication. Click Done.
Go live (Point 5): Check the last measurements in the Reduxi Configurator. Monitor the charger in the Reduxi cloud application.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| The charger browser interface does not open | The PC and the charger must be in the same network. Enter the charger IP address with port 8080, for example 10.150.1.104:8080. |
| Test communication: the ID of the device is not set or is different | The device identifier in the Reduxi Configurator must be the charger ID set in the charger browser interface. |
| Test communication: no device with OCPP 1.6 communication found | Check the server URL of the Reduxi Controller in the charger browser interface. Charger mode must be 1 = APP and the authentication key must be deleted. |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
| Communication test fails, device shows offline | Check reachability, IP address / port / unit ID, and that the protocol is enabled on the device. |
