2. Physical connection between Hybrid inverter and Reduxi controller

The physical connection must be established since Modbus RTU is used to access the hybrid inverter interface.

3. Add Sunways Hybrid to the Reduxi system.

After connecting the Reduxi and the Hybrid inverter, you can register it as a new device (Sunways Hybrid Inverter).

3.1 Add device (Sunways Hybrid Inverter)

First, log-in to the local Reduxi configurator and add a new device by clicking the 'Add device' button.

4.2 Select Sunways Hybrid Inverter

Within the first step, basic settings are defined:

• Select Device type: Hybrid Inverter,
• Select Type: Sunways Hybrid Inverter,
• Name the device.

4.3 Device Configuration for Communication Channel

The second step involves configuring the communication channel, which is essential for proper Modbus RTU communication. In this step, the communication link between the Reduxi controller and the Sunways Hybrid Inverter is established.

Settings for the Communication channel are displayed below:

Note: Modbus unit ID is by default set to 247.

4.4 Test communication

Below all fields of the Communication channel mentioned in the previous step, there is a "Test Communication" button. This button is used to verify whether the Modbus RTU connection between the devices is functioning correctly.

4.5 Advance settings

This section is used if the special needs of the location must be met. By default, nothing needs to be changed under Advanced settings.

5. Readings from Device

The purpose of this point is to show how to check readings from the device. This is done under 'Device (Sunways Hybrid Inverter)/Last measurement'.

Once the device is successfully added through the configurator, it can be monitored via the cloud application Reduxi.
