An example of User manual document for the 10-15kW String inverter can be obtained at the link:
2. Physical connection between String inverter and Reduxi controller
The physical connection must be established since Modbus RTU is used to access the string inverter interface.
The location of Modbus communication connectors is shown on the picture as RS485 interface.
The image below displays how the physical connection is established, where Reduxi is in the role of the Terminal. Instead of USB/485 interface, the Port 1 or Port 2 interface is used on Reduxi controller.
3. Add Sofar String to the Reduxi system.
After connecting the Reduxi and the String inverter, you can register it as a new device (Sofar String Inverter).
3.1 Add device
First, log-in to the local Reduxi configurator and add a new device by clicking the 'Add device' button.
3.2 Select Sofar 70KTL G1-G2
Within the first step, basic settings are defined:
- Select Device type: Solar power plant
- Select Type: Sofar 70KTL G1-G2,
- Name the device.
3.3 Device Configuration for Communication Channel
The second step involves configuring the communication channel, which is essential for proper Modbus RTU communication. In this step, the communication link between the Reduxi controller and the Sofar String Inverter is established.
Settings for the Communication channel are displayed below:
It is required that fields Modbus unit ID and Rated power are set.
3.4 Test communication
Below all fields of the Communication channel mentioned in the previous step, there is a "Test Communication" button. This button is used to verify whether the Modbus RTU connection between the devices is functioning correctly.

4. Readings from Device
The purpose of this point is to show how to check readings from the device. This is done under 'Device (Sofar String inverter)/Last measurement'.
Once the device is successfully added through the configurator, it can be monitored via the cloud application Reduxi.
