Connecting Reduxi Controller to ChargeAmps Charger (Halo, Luna,…). ChargeAmps Charger can be connected through Wi-fi and utilizes OCPP protocol.
1. Login to Reduxi APP and set static IP for Reduxi controller and
1.1 Login to Reduxi APP -> Select Menu icon and choose »Reduxi devices«
1.2 Select on “Open Configurator”
1.3 Enter user name (admin) and password (default is admin).
1.4 Select Settings -> Network
1.5. Select “Static IP” and enter data for your static IP settings in communication module that is connected to your LAN (WAN, LAN or WiFi) and select “Save”
2. Add Device and create a configuration for OCPP communication between the Charger and the Reduxi controller
2.1 Select on “Add device”
2.2 Enter basic settings:
- Select Device type: EV charger
- Select Type: OCPP 1.6 - JSON
- And name
2.3 Configure communication channel for OCPP:
- Enter »Device identifier« (Serial number of Charger)
- On the bottom of the configuration page you can find “Controller OCPP JSON 1.6 URL” - Exmaple URL: ws://192.168.1.97/ocpp/1.6/json
3. Configure OCPP in Charge Home APP
After obtaining the correct URL of OCPP, you need to paste it into the 'CPMS Connection' menu located in Charge Home APP.
3.1 Install ChargeAmps Installer application:

3.3 Connect the Charger to the same Wi-Fi network as the Reduxi controller
The Reduxi controller and ChargeAmps must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This can be accomplished through the 'Internet' menu in the app. Simply select the desired Wi-Fi network and connect the ChargeAmps to it using the login credentials for that network.
3.4 Select “Advanced” menu and choose “Edit” under CPMS Connection
3.5 Under OCPP server ULR copy the OCPP URL address from Reduxi Controller in “Advanced” menu and choose “Edit” under CPMS Connectionin stop 2.3. (Example: ws://192.168.1.97/ocpp/1.6/json) and click “Connect”
3.6 At next step click “Complete configuration”
3.7 At next step click “I understand”
4. Test communication in Reduxi APP
Go back to settings and Reduxi APP and click “Test communication”
There are three different cases of communication response.
Case 1: Communication is working properly
Case 2: Unable to communicate with device 1, ID of device is not set or is different
Case 3: No device with OCPP 1.6 communication is found
