How to connect Easee chargers with Reduxi controller
Integrate Easee chargers with Reduxi via Wi‑Fi and the Easee platform using the OCPP protocol. Possible cost reductions of up to 30%.

Photo (rendered scene) of a white electric car seen from behind, parked in a bright, empty hall with a wavy white roof held by white pillars and a pale reflective floor. At the left of the car a slim black charging post (Easee charger, per the caption) with a dark head stands on the floor; a black charging cable runs from the post in a curve to the car's charging port at the rear left side. 1 Technical documentation
Documents and apps from Easee:
- Easee app (Google Play) – App for Android.
- Easee app (App Store) – App for iOS.
- Find the Pin and Charger ID – Easee support article (Swedish).
- Getting started with Easee chargers – Easee support article with the basics.
2 Required equipment
You need:
- Reduxi Controller
- Easee charger connected to the Easee platform via Wi‑Fi
- Charger ID and Charger PIN of the charger (see Point 3)
- Easee app (optional, to read the Charger ID and PIN)
- Laptop or tablet with internet access to configure the device in Reduxi
3 Find the Charger ID and PIN
Reduxi needs two values to communicate with the Easee charger: the Charger ID and the Charger PIN. You find them in the Easee app or on the device itself.
3.1 Easee app
Log in to the Easee app and go to Charger Settings. The serial number is displayed on the About line. Tap the serial number for more information, including the PIN code of your charger.

Rows (label: value): Serial number: EH004333 (with arrow); PIN code: eye icon and four masked dots, PIN not shown (with arrow); Product: Easee Home; Unit type: Master; Firmware version: v300; User role: Owner; WiFi signal: Good (-52 dBm); Cellular signal: -; Bluetooth signal: Excellent (0 dBm).
If the charger is not listed in the app yet, add it:

The charger with the highest signal strength is the one that is closest to you.' Below it a charger list entry with a small black charger icon on the left and a Bluetooth signal icon on the right: serial number EH054073 (blue text). Section heading 'Other chargers nearby'. Next entry: serial number EH004333 (blue text) with charger icon and Bluetooth icon. A further entry starts below it but is cut off at the bottom of the image.
3.2 Find the values on the device or in the manual
If the charger is not added to the app, you find the serial number and the PIN on the device or in the printed manual.
- On the device: remove the front cover to access the Chargeberry. The serial number is located above the Type 2 connector.
- In the manual: the serial number and the PIN code are on a sticker on the back of the manual.
- The installer may have placed the sticker inside the fuse box door or directly on the charger.

If the readout is unsuccessful, check that the correct Charger ID and Charger PIN are entered. If the problem remains, contact the Reduxi Support Team.
6 Check the readings
6.1 Last measurements
After communication is established, check the values under Devices – Easee in the Reduxi Configurator as an additional test.

Screenshot of the Reduxi Configurator device page 'Devices / Easee', tab 'Last measurements' selected (other tabs: Analyze, Archive, Details). Top right: green 'Connected' status. Card 'Control type': buttons Auto (selected, highlighted), Manual, Off, Boost; timestamp 30. 09. 2025 10:25:02. Card 'Current': Current L1 0.01 A; Current L2 0.01 A; Current L3 0.01 A; Max. current per phase 32.00 A; Per phase current setpoint 6.00 A (each at 30. 09. 2025 10:25:14). Card 'Power': Active power 0.0 kW; Max. active power 22.1 kW; Min. active power 4.1 kW (each 30. 09. 2025 10:25:14). Card 'Energy': Import active energy 29.7 kWh; Import active energy - session 29.7 kWh (each 30. 09. 2025 10:25:14). Card 'Other': Communication error OFF (10:25:11); Control type AUTO (10:25:14); State name AVAILABLE (10:25:14).
6.2 Enable control by Reduxi
For advanced charger control, integrate the device into the Reduxi strategy. Under Devices – Easee or Home in the Reduxi Configurator, set the control type to AUTO. Only then do strategy commands affect the charger.
To use dynamic prices and dynamic tariffs, define a strategy as described in Strategies for Reduxi controller.
✓ Summary
Preparation (Points 1–3): Collect the apps and documents, then read the Charger ID and the Charger PIN from the Easee app, the device or the manual.
Easee charger (Point 3): The charger must be connected to the Easee platform. The Charger ID and PIN identify it.
Add to Reduxi (Points 4–5): Log in, add an EV charger of type Easee, enter Charger ID and PIN, click Done and run Test communication.
Go live (Point 6): Check the last measurements and set the control type to AUTO.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Test communication: unsuccessful readout | Check that the correct Charger ID and Charger PIN are entered (Point 5.2). |
| Charger is not in the Easee app | Add it as a Charging Robot and activate Bluetooth with the touch button, 5 seconds (Point 3.1). |
| Slow reaction to commands | The response time is 10 seconds and the API allows 20 write requests per minute (Point 6.2). |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
| Communication test fails, device shows offline | Check reachability, IP address / port / unit ID, and that the protocol is enabled on the device. |
