The Reduxi Controller supports two-factor authentication (2FA) to provide an additional layer of security when logging in.
Note: this functionality is available in the cloud webapp, mobile app and Reduxi controller. It is not available for Reduxi Gateway, not for P1 converter.
Note: Enabling 2FA in the cloud also enables it in the mobile app. Controller 2FA is configured separately because it uses a different account.
Enabling 2FA on Reduxi controller
To enable 2FA, open Settings > Profile and click the 2FA icon.
A QR code will be displayed. Scan the QR code with your preferred authenticator app to add the Reduxi account. If supported by the authenticator app, you can also enter the displayed setup key manually instead of scanning the QR code.
After configuration, the authenticator app will generate a verification code that is required in addition to your regular login credentials.
Warning: Keep access to your authenticator app and 2FA configuration secure. If access to the configured 2FA method is lost, the authentication cannot currently be recovered or reset. The only way to regain access to the Reduxi Controller is to perform a factory reset, which clears all data and configuration from the controller.
Enabling 2FA in Reduxi cloud web application
The approach and requirements for enabling two-factor authentication in the cloud and mobile app is similar to the one for the controller.
It can be enabled in User setting menu. Follow the instructions given in the application.
Enabling 2FA in Reduxi mobile application
2FA is only available in version 240 and newer.
If 2FA is activated in the cloud app, it's also active in the mobile app and vice versa.
The two factor authentication can be enabled via Settings. Follow the instructions given in the application.
