Connect Reduxi with Sonnen battery via Web API, enabling dynamic tariff management, reducing energy costs, and unlocking earnings through energy market arbitrage.

2. Connect Sonne battery local network

For effective communication, it is essential to establish a connection to the local network. Within this network, the Reduxi controller must also be connected. Connect the Sonnen battery via LAN communication and enter the DNS of the battery: https://find-my.sonnen-batterie.com/

3. Web API and Token of Sonnen battery 

Once the LAN connection is established and the IP of the Sonnen battery is obtained, addressing to Web API can be executed

4. Connect Reduxi controller to the Sonnen battery

Once the internet connection between the battery and the Reduxi controller is established, and communication to API is enabled, the user can begin adding the device to the Reduxi controller.

4.1 Adding a device

Log in locally to the Reduxi configurator application on the controller and press the Add device button.

4.2 Select the device you would like to add

In the first step (basic settings), select the basic parameters of the device you want to add:

• Device type: Battery,
• Type: Sonne battery
• Name: Specify the name of the device.

4.3 Communication channel

The communication channel setup is designed to define connection parameters between the Reduxi Controller and the Sonne battery.

Insert API IP and token obtained from point 3. Web API and Token of Sonnen battery 

4.4 Communication test 

The communication test is carried out with the help of the "Test communication" button, located on the lower right side after all the parameters fields of the communication channel.

The communication test can return two answers:

4.5 Advanced Settings

The advanced setting is arbitrary and depends on the specific needs of the location where the Reduxi controller is installed. After finishing all the advanced settings, press the "Done" button on the lower right side.

5. Last measurements

After successfully establishing communication with the newly added device, its values ​can be checked under Devices/Sonnen battery in the Reduxi configurator as an additional test. 

For advanced battery control, integrate the device into the strategy of the Reduxi system. Under Devices/Sonnen battery in the Reduxi configurator, the control type must be set to AUTO so commands for strategy will affect the battery.
