Integrate KSTAR Hybrid Inverter inverter with Reduxi controller via Modbus TCP/IP, achieving maximal flexibility and possible cost and energy reductions of up to 30%.
1. KSTAR Hybrid inverter settings (for Modbus TCP/IP):
To enable Modbus TCP/IP communication settings as displayed in the image below on the inverter HMI:
For further information about KSTAR Hybrid inverter settings follow the link:

2. Add KSTAR Hybrid to the Reduxi system.
After connecting the Reduxi and the KSTAR Hybrid, you can register it as a new device KSTAR Hybrid Inverter).
2.1 Add device (KSTAR Hybrid Inverter)
First, log in to the local Reduxi configurator and add a new device by clicking the 'Add device' button.
2.2 Select Sunways Hybrid Inverter
Within the first step, basic settings are defined:
- Select Device type: Hybrid Inverter,
- Select Type: KSTAR Hybrid,
- Name the device.
3.3 Device Configuration for Communication Channel
The second step involves configuring the communication channel, which is essential for proper Modbus TCP/IP communication. This step establishes the communication link between the Reduxi controller and the KSTAR Hybrid Inverter Inverter.
Settings for the Communication channel are displayed below:
Note: IP must be obtained from the HMI interface of KSTAR Hybrid:
3.4 Test communication
Below all fields of the Communication channel mentioned in the previous step, there is a "Test Communication" button. This button is used to verify whether the Modbus TCP/IP connection between the devices is functioning correctly.

3.5 Advance settings
This section is used if the location's special needs must be met. By default, nothing needs to be changed under Advanced settings.
4. Readings from Device
The purpose of this point is to show how to check readings from the device. This is done under 'Device (KSTAR Hybrid Inverter)/Last measurement'.
For advanced KSTAR Hybrid control, integrate the device into the Optimization modes of the Reduxi system. Under Devices/KSTAR Hybrid in the Reduxi configurator, the control type must be set to AUTO so that commands for strategy will affect the battery.
To achieve maximal flexibility and energy cost reduction with respect to dynamic price and dynamic tariffs, please follow the instructions on how to define strategy at this link: Strategies for Reduxi Controller.
After successfully adding the device, it can be monitored and controlled via the Reduxi application.
