Cut energy costs by up to 70%: Reduxi integrates SolaX Power X1/X3 Hybrid Inverters G4/Pro/Ultra via Modbus TCP/IP or RTU.

1. Solax Firmware
Note : The Inverter must have the latest firmware update. To do so, contact Solax Power Support directly at
2. Pysical connection
2.1 Modbus TCP/IP
A symbolic picture of the entire connection from the Reduxi controller to the Inverter is displayed below:
Note: To set up a connection via Modbus TCP, you need either the WiFi 3.0 or the WiFi & LAN 3.0 Dongle
2.2 Modbus RTU
A symbolic picture of the entire connection from the Reduxi controller to the Inverter is displayed below:
2.2.1 Wiring Diagramms:
3. Add SolaX X1/X3 Hybrid Inverter to the Reduxi system
After connecting the Reduxi and the SolaX Hybrid Inverter, you can register it as a new device.
3.1 Select Add device
First, log-in to the local Reduxi configurator and add a new device by clicking the 'Add device' button.
3.2 Select SolaX Power Hybrid Inverter
This depends on which inverter you have. If you have a single-phase inverter (X1), select... If you have a three-phase inverter installed, select X3.
Within the first step, basic settings are defined:
- Select Device type: Hybrid Inverter,
- Select Type: SolaX Power X1 or X3 Hybrid,
- Name the device as you wish as an example: Solax Power X3 Hybrid G4

3.3 Device Configuration for Communication Channel
The second step involves configuring the communication channel, which is essential for proper Modbus communication. In this step, the communication link between the Reduxi controller and the Solax Power Inverter is established.
You can choose between TCP/IP or RTU connection (depending on the used device)
3.3.1 Modbus TCP
- Connection: TCP/IP
- IP: Enter the IP address of the Solax Power Inverter
- Port: 502
- Modbus unit ID: This is the same ID as set on the inverter (as default 1)
- User password: Its the same PIN Code as for the Display on the Inverter (as example 2014)
- PV: is a PV installed? Yes or No
- Battery: is a Battery installed? Yes or No
3.3.2 Modbus RTU
- Connection: Local Port
- Port: 1
- Baudrate: 9600
- Data Bits: 1
- Stop Bits: 1
- Parity: None
- Modbus Unit ID: 1 (same ID as the Inverter)
- User password: Its the same PIN Code as for the Display on the Inverter (as example 2014)
- PV: is a PV installed? Yes or No
- Battery: is a Battery installed? Yes or No
3.4 Test communication
Below all fields of the Communication channel mentioned in the previous step, there is a "Test Communication" button.
This button is used to verify whether the Modbus connection between the devices is functioning correctly.

Unsuccessful response (example):
In this case, please check Settings, wiring and try again.
3.5 Readings from Device
This section shows you how to check the device's measured values and whether it is communicating correctly. This can be done under "Devices /SolaX Power Inverter /Last Measurement."
For advanced control, integrate the device into the Optimization modes of the Reduxi system.
Under Devices/SolaX Power Inverter in the Reduxi configurator, the control type must be set to AUTO so that commands for strategy will affect the battery.
To achieve maximal flexibility and energy cost reduction with respect to dynamic price and dynamic tariffs, please follow the instructions on how to define strategy at this link: Strategies for Reduxi controller.
After successfully adding the device, it can be monitored and controlled via the Reduxi application.
