With the following steps, you enable the Reduxi support team to connect to your Reduxi Controller over a secure Open VPN connection.
1. Requirements to enable a secure Open VPN connection
To allow remote access to Reduxi Controller, please follow the knowledge base article Steps required to enable internet access at Reduxi controller with Reduxi Configurator and then add/edit the Firewall rule to allow Open VPN connection for IP 193.9.21.21 and TCP port 2002. For more information about Firewall rules please read Reduxi Firewall rules
2. Enable Open VPN connection
The first step is to obtain the VPN configuration file. In some cases, Reduxi Controllers are already installed with VPN config; it depends on our agreement. In this case, you can just skip the first step. Please write to support@reduxi.eu to get the VPN config for your Reduxi controller.
Open the config file with Notepad or any other text editor and copy and paste the content to the Reduxi Open VPN Config field.
After this, you can check if your VPN configuration is working. An example, Reduxi – connection to VPN is not working.
Reduxi – connection to VPN is working.
If you follow the steps and the connection is set up, we can securely connect to Reduxi Controller via a secure VPN connection.
3. Disable Open VPN connection
If you want to disable the Open VPN connection, please delete Reduxi Open VPN Config field or configure Firewall rules to disable the Open VPN connection. In this case, the status of the Open VPN connection should be “Not connected”.
