Printed on the housing: 'ISKRA' logo, 'AM550', 'Made in EU 2020', '1 000 imp/kWh' and '1 000 imp/kvarh', and '2G/4G' at the left. A label with a legend for the LCD display codes in Slovenian (e.g. 'Pomen stevilcnih oznak na LCD zaslonu' [Meaning of the numeric codes on the LCD display], 0.9.1 Cas [time], 0.9.2 Datum [date], 1.8.T Delovna energija A+ [active energy A+], 2.8.T Delovna energija A-, 3.8.T Jalova energija R+, 4.8.T Jalova energija R-, 1.6.0 and 2.6.0 maximum power, T = tarifa [tariff]). At the top right of the housing a black circle marks a small grey clip or cover latch with a symbol on it. A screw and a seal marked '2020' are at the right. The display window is at the bottom, partly visible.
1 Smart meter data ports
Most smart electricity meters have a dedicated data port (for example P1). The port allows real-time monitoring of energy consumption and production. A compatible device connects to this port and sends the data via Wi‑Fi to a mobile app or a dashboard for analysis.
The specifics for each country are listed in the following points.
2 Slovenia
2.1 Access to the meter
The electricity meters in Slovenia are usually locked in a closet. To open it, contact the corresponding distribution system operator (DSO). The communication from the electricity meter is also encrypted. The DSO has to unlock it.
Contacts of the DSO: Elektro Ljubljana (contact details to be added).

3 Austria
The electricity meters in Austria are usually encrypted. The encryption key can be obtained via a link that is still to be added.
4 Sweden
If you have received a new smart electricity meter, you can activate the connection port yourself on My Pages. After you log in, an information box appears at the bottom of the page. It explains how to activate the connection port. The activation can take up to 2 days until it is completed in the system.
If the box is not displayed, the meter replacement has probably not taken place yet, or the grid company has not yet registered the meter replacement in its system. The map shows when the meter replacement in your area is planned.

✓ Summary
Overview (Point 1): Most smart meters have a data port, for example P1. A compatible device sends the data via Wi‑Fi.
Slovenia (Point 2): The meter is locked in a closet and the communication is encrypted. The DSO unlocks both. The process takes 2–3 weeks.
Austria and Sweden (Points 3–4): Austria: meters are usually encrypted. Sweden: activate the connection port on My Pages. It takes up to 2 days.
Further information (Point 5): Links to compatibility lists and data sheets. Remove before publishing.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| No data from the meter port | Slovenia: the DSO has to unlock the closet and the encrypted communication. Austria: obtain the encryption key. Sweden: activate the connection port on My Pages. |
| Information box for the port is missing (Sweden) | The meter replacement has probably not taken place yet or is not registered yet. The map shows when the replacement in your area is planned. |
