6 Add the charger to Reduxi
Create the OCPP configuration between the go-e Charger and the Reduxi Controller.
6.1 Basic settings
Log in to the local Reduxi Configurator (see Point 5) and click + Add device.

Below, two buttons side by side: Add device (plus icon, marked with a blue highlight box) and Add strategy (plus icon). Below them two entries: Settings and Profile. The area to the right of the sidebar is empty white.
In the first step, select the basic settings:
- Device type:
EV charger - Type:
OCPP 1.6 - JSON - Name: a name of your choice
Text description of this image
Screenshot of the Reduxi Configurator wizard, step 1 Basic settings. Progress bar: step 1 Basic settings (active, dark circle), step 2 Communication channel (grey). Form Basic settings: Device type *: EV charger (dropdown); Type *: OCPP 1.6 - JSON (dropdown); Name *: go-e Charger (text field). Buttons: Back (left, outlined) and Next (right, dark).
6.2 Communication settings
The second step sets the communication channel for OCPP. Define the Device identifier (your choice). The Reduxi Controller generates the URL for OCPP JSON 1.6 automatically. Add /Device ID at the end of this URL.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Device identifier | A name of your choice, for example my_station_ID1
|
| Controller OCPP JSON 1.6 URL | Generated by the controller, shown at the bottom of the page. Add /Device ID at the end. Example: ws://192.168.1.200/ocpp/1.6/json/my_station_ID1

Card Other: Control type AUTO; State name AVAILABLE; Communication error OFF (timestamp 07:28:42).
9.2 Monitor and control
After the device is added in the Reduxi Configurator, monitor and control it in the Reduxi cloud application.
To control charging with dynamic prices and dynamic tariffs, set the control type of the charger to AUTO under Devices and define a strategy as described in Strategies for Reduxi controller.
✓ Summary
Preparation (Points 1–4): Collect the documents and equipment, install the go-e app and connect the charger to the Wi‑Fi network of the controller.
go-e charger (Point 7): Enable OCPP in the go-e app and enter the host and the path of the Reduxi Controller.
Add to Reduxi (Points 5–6, 8): Log in, add an OCPP 1.6 - JSON device, define the Device identifier and run Test communication.
Go live (Point 9): Check the last measurements and set the control type to AUTO.
→ Common issues
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Test communication: Unable to communicate with device 1 | The Device identifier is not set or differs. The name at the end of the path in the go-e app must match the Device identifier exactly (Point 6.2, Point 7). |
| Test communication: No device with OCPP 1.6 communication is found | Check that OCPP is enabled in the go-e app and that host and path are correct (Point 7). The charger and the controller must be in the same Wi‑Fi network (Point 4.1). |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
| Communication test fails, device shows offline | Check reachability, IP address / port / unit ID, and that the protocol is enabled on the device. |
