Reduxi with Huawei SUN2000 using SDongleA-05
Tested firmware combinations of Huawei SUN2000 inverters with the SDongleA-05 dongle.
1 Technical documentation
The SDongleA-05 is the Huawei Smart Dongle (AP+STA) that connects a SUN2000 inverter to the network. It connects to the inverter through USB. The Huawei specification page lists it with an Ethernet interface (10/100 Mbps) and Wi‑Fi (802.11 b/g/n), and with up to 10 devices and 10 inverters.

2 Tested firmware combinations
These inverter and dongle firmware combinations were tested. The last column shows whether the battery charging was limited by the PV output.

3 Log in to the Reduxi web interface
You can open the Reduxi web interface in two ways:

Open the Configurator first, see Point 3. The device is added with the wizard in two steps.
4.1 Basic settings
Huawei SUN2000. Tick the strategies the device should take part in, then click Next.In the second step, enter the communication settings of the inverter.
4.2 Test communication
Click Test communication at the bottom of the wizard. It reads the Huawei SUN2000 once and saves nothing. If the test succeeds, click Done: only Done creates the device.
5 Check the readings
5.1 Last measurements
Open Devices → your Huawei SUN2000 device → Last measurements in the Configurator. The values show whether the inverter communicates correctly.
5.2 Control behaviour
For control by the Reduxi strategies, open Devices and your Huawei device in the Reduxi Configurator and set the control type to AUTO. Check the battery charging behaviour against the table in Point 2.

✓ Summary
Preparation (Point 1): Check the Huawei documentation and the firmware versions of inverter and dongle.
Huawei SDongleA-05 (Point 2): Only the combination inverter V200R023C10SPC209 and dongle V200R022C10SPC210 charges the battery without a limit by the PV output.
Add to Reduxi (Points 3–4): Open the Configurator, add the Huawei SUN2000, enter the communication settings, run Test communication and click Done.
Go live (Point 5): Check the last measurements and set the control type to AUTO.
→ Common issues

| Battery charging is limited by the PV output | Check the firmware versions of inverter and dongle. In the tested combinations, charging was not limited with inverter V200R023C10SPC209 and dongle V200R022C10SPC210. |
| Test communication fails | Check the communication settings against the inverter and that Controller and inverter can reach each other. |
| Open configurator does not open or stays empty | The tunnel is not active yet. Wait about 30 seconds and check that the controller is online. |
Login with admin is rejected |
The password was changed during installation. Ask the installer. The Reduxi account password does not work here. |
reduxi.local does not load |
Your device is not in the same network as the controller. Use the IP address or the tunnel connection. |
