Schedules
Use different grid limits, goal and device settings on chosen days, months and times of day.
→ Overview
A Schedule entry replaces the values of the Default mode for a period you choose: certain days of the week, certain months, one or more time intervals per day and, if you want, a date range. While the entry is in effect, the strategy uses the entry's Export limit, Goal, Import limit and Advanced settings instead of the Default mode.
Typical uses are a lower import limit during the grid operator's high-tariff hours, a different goal at night, or charging EVs only from PV during working hours.
The strategy checks its modes in this order and uses the first one that applies:
- Voltage regulation, while the grid voltage is too high.
- Negative price, while the price is zero or negative.
- The first Schedule entry, in table order, that matches the current time.
- The Default mode.
An active AI energy manager time slot can still replace the goal and the grid limits of the mode in effect. See AI energy manager.
1 Add a schedule entry
High tariff. The name is shown in the table and as the active optimization on the Last measurements tab.
Confirm only adds the entry to the table on the page. If you leave the page before you click Save, the entry is lost.
Saving Settings → Grid with this strategy selected in Apply to selected strategies replaces the Export limit and Import limit of every schedule entry with the site values. See Grid settings.
2 Parameters
When the entry applies
| Parameter | What it does | Unit / default |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Name of the entry. Shown in the Name column of the table and as Optimization on the strategy's Last measurements tab while the entry is in effect. An entry without a name is shown as - in the table and as Schedule on Last measurements. |
text · empty |
| Day of week | Days on which the entry applies. Open the list to pick days; Select all and Deselect all are at the top of the list. Empty = every day. | Monday … Sunday · empty |
| Month | Months in which the entry applies. Same list controls as Day of week. Empty = every month. | January … December · empty |
| Start / End | Time interval of the day in the controller's local time. The entry applies from Start up to, but not including, End. If End is earlier than Start, the interval runs over midnight, for example 22:00–06:00; the part after midnight counts as part of the day on which it started. If Start and End are equal, for example 00:00–00:00, the interval covers the whole day. | HH:mm, 15-minute steps · 00:00–00:00 |
| Add interval | Adds another Start / End interval to the same entry. The new interval starts where the last one ends. Intervals you add can be removed with the bin icon next to them; the first interval cannot be removed. | — |
| Do you want to configure start and end time? | Yes shows Valid from and Valid to so you can limit the entry to a date range. No hides them and clears both dates; the entry then applies on every matching day with no end date. | Yes / No |
| Valid from | First day on which the entry applies, from 00:00. Empty = no start date. | date |
| Valid to | Last day on which the entry applies, until the end of the day. Empty = no end date. | date |
Days and times are compared with the controller's local time. Set the time zone on Settings → System → Time before you create schedules. See Time and time zone.
Values used while the entry applies
| Parameter | What it does | Unit / default |
|---|---|---|
| Export limit | Maximum power the site may feed into the grid while the entry applies. Same meaning as in the Default mode. | kW · 0 |
| Goal | What the strategy optimizes for: Maximize production, Self-consumption, Maximize consumption or Peak shaving. The goals are described in Optimization modes, goals and limits. | Self-consumption |
| Import limit | Maximum power the site may draw from the grid while the entry applies. | kW · 5 |
| Advanced settings → Battery | Charging and discharging permissions, PV-only charging, Min. SOC and Max. SOC, and the peak-shaving grid charging settings for this entry. Same fields as in the Default mode. | — |
| Advanced settings → PV | Enable switch for PV production during this entry. | — |
| Advanced settings → EVSE | Enable, Charging from PV limit and Allow charging from battery for EV chargers during this entry. | — |
| Advanced settings → HVAC | Enable, Minimum state setpoint time and the three HVAC setpoints with their power thresholds for this entry. | — |
| Confirm | Closes the dialog and adds or updates the entry in the table. Nothing is saved yet. | — |
The fields under Advanced settings work the same in every mode. They are described in Optimization modes, goals and limits.
Schedule rows in the table
Each entry is one row on the Optimization modes tab.
| Column | What it shows | Unit / default |
|---|---|---|
| Name | The entry's name, or - if it has none. |
text |
| Event description | The time intervals, the selected days, the selected months and, if set, the valid dates. | — |
| Export limit, Goal, Import limit | The entry's limits and goal. You can change them directly in the row, then click Save. | kW |
| Advanced | Edit icon: opens the entry in the Edit dialog. Bin icon: deletes the entry after you confirm with Yes. Click Save to make the deletion permanent. | — |
3 Order of entries
When two entries match the same moment, the one higher in the table wins. New entries are always added at the bottom. The table has no control for moving rows, so to change the order, delete entries and add them again in the order you want, then click Save.
Example: one entry for every working day 07:00–21:00 and one for public holidays. Add the holiday entry first, with Valid from and Valid to set to the holiday, so it wins on that day.
4 Check the result
Open the strategy's Last measurements tab during the scheduled time. In the Main settings card:
-
Optimization shows the name of the entry (or
Schedule). - Regulation mode shows the entry's goal.
- Max. import active power and Max. export active power show the entry's limits.
Outside the scheduled time, Optimization shows Default optimization mode. See
Strategy measurements, charts and archive.
5 Checklist
- The controller time zone is correct.
- Each entry has a clear Name.
- Day of week, Month and Start / End cover exactly the period you want; intervals over midnight are set with End earlier than Start.
- Valid from / Valid to are set only for entries that should expire.
- The most specific entry is highest in the table.
- Export limit and Import limit suit the grid connection and the main fuses.
- Save was clicked after the last change.
