Grid settings
Enter the size of the grid connection once and copy the limits into your strategies.
→ Overview
The Grid settings page holds the site defaults for the grid connection: the rating of the main fuses, the maximum power the site may draw from the grid (import) and the maximum power it may feed into the grid (export). It also holds the site name.
The controller does not regulate with these values directly. Regulation always uses the values of each strategy. This page is a convenient place to enter the limits once and copy them into one or more strategies in a single step.
- When the controller is set up for the first time, these values are copied into the first strategy.
- Each time you click Save, they are copied into every strategy listed in Apply to selected strategies.
- After that, every strategy keeps its own copy. You can change it on the strategy's Details and Optimization modes tabs without touching this page.
1 Set the grid limits
The fuse values replace the fuses on each selected strategy's Details tab. The import and export limits replace the limits of the Default mode, of every Schedule entry, of the Negative price mode and of Voltage regulation. If you set different limits for a schedule entry on purpose, they are lost. Remove that strategy from Apply to selected strategies before you click Save.
2 Parameters
Grid settings
| Parameter | What it does | Unit / default |
|---|---|---|
| Fuse L1, Fuse L2, Fuse L3 | Rating of the main fuse on each phase at the grid connection. The controller keeps the current of each phase below this value: it does not start or speed up EV chargers, heat pumps or battery charging if that would overload a phase. | A · empty = no limit |
| Import power active limit | Maximum power the whole site may draw from the grid. Use the value of your connection agreement or the power you have booked with the grid operator. | kW · empty = no limit |
| Export power active limit | Maximum power the whole site may feed into the grid. Enter 0 for a zero-export site. Enter a positive number; the controller treats it as export. |
kW · empty = no limit |
| Apply to selected strategies | The strategies that receive the values above when you click Save. Click the field to add a strategy, click × to remove one. | — |
If you enter a fuse rating that is higher than the fuse installed on site, the controller may let EV chargers, heat pumps and battery charging draw more current than the fuse can carry. The main fuse can blow and the site loses power. Check the fuse ratings on site before you enter them.
The limits apply to the whole site, including loads the controller does not control. If the connection is 17 kW, you can enter a slightly lower value, for example 16 kW, so that a sudden load such as an oven does not push the site over the limit before the controller reacts.
Other
| Parameter | What it does | Unit / default |
|---|---|---|
| Location | Free-text name of the site, for example the town or the customer's name. It is shown in the footer of every page, on the Identifier page, and is sent to the Reduxi Cloud and to MQTT. It does not set the time zone or the weather location. | text |
| Save | Saves the page and copies the grid values into the selected strategies. The change is recorded in the Audit log. The controller does not restart. | — |
The time zone is set on Settings → System → Time, not here. The Location field is a name only.
3 Check the result
After saving, open each selected strategy and compare:
- Details tab → Grid card: Fuse L1, Fuse L2 and Fuse L3 show the new values.
- Optimization modes tab: the Import limit and Export limit of the Default mode show the new values.
4 Checklist
- Fuse L1, Fuse L2 and Fuse L3 match the main fuses installed on site.
- Import power active limit and Export power active limit match the connection agreement.
- Apply to selected strategies lists only the strategies that should get these values.
- The selected strategies show the new values on their Details and Optimization modes tabs.
- Location identifies the site clearly.
