Utility rate plan (electricity prices)
Check the electricity prices the controller works with, and add or correct a price entry by hand.
→ Overview
The Utility Rate Plan page shows the electricity prices stored on the controller: what you pay to buy electricity, what you get for selling it, and the grid power charge. The controller uses these prices for the Negative price mode, for the AI energy manager and its battery, EVSE and HVAC price optimizations, and it publishes them over MQTT.
Price plans are normally set up in the Reduxi Cloud application and sent to the controller. The Edit prices screen lets you see every stored price entry and add, copy, change or delete one by hand.
If no price entry covers the current time, the controller has no price for that moment. The Negative price mode and the AI energy manager then have nothing to work with. The chart page shows: "There is no utility rate plan for the selected period. Please configure it in Cloud application for your device."

Chart page
| Element | What it shows | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| Date range | Period shown in the charts. Whole days, from the start of the first day to the end of the last day. | date |
| Purchase of electricity | Price of electricity bought from the grid, per price period. Energy = supplier energy buy price. Fee = supplier buy fee. Network = distributor energy price. Total (line) = Energy + Fee + Network. | currency/kWh |
| Sale of electricity | Price of electricity sold to the grid. Energy = supplier energy sell price. Fee = supplier sell fee. Total (line) = Energy − Fee. | currency/kWh |
| Power | Distributor power charge per kW, per price period. | currency/kW |
| Now | Dotted vertical line at the current time of the controller. | — |
The buy and sell fees can be a fixed amount or a percentage of the energy price. They are part of the price plan sent from the Reduxi Cloud; you cannot enter them on the Edit prices screen.
2 Add or correct a price entry
The Edit prices screen has no entry in the left menu. Open it by adding #/prices/edit to the Configurator address, for example http://<controller address>/#/prices/edit.
The controller does not check entries for overlaps. If two entries cover the same time, the controller uses one of them, and you cannot choose which. Check the period before you add an entry, and delete or shorten an entry you replace.
When the price plan is managed in the Reduxi Cloud, the cloud sends new prices to the controller and can replace the stored entries for that period. Make lasting price changes in the Reduxi Cloud application, not here.

| Time | Start and end of the period the entry covers. | date and time |
| Distributor energy [€/kWh] | Grid (distribution) energy charge. Added to the buy price. | €/kWh |
| Distributor power [€/kW] | Grid (distribution) power charge. Shown in the Power chart and published over MQTT. | €/kW |
| Supplier energy buy [€/kWh] | Price of the energy you buy from your supplier. | €/kWh |

Add price and Edit price (Timeline)
| Field | What it does | Unit / default |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Name of the entry. Required. | text |
| Start | Start of the period. Required. Selectable in 15-minute steps. | date and time · start of the current hour |
| End | End of the period. Required. The entry applies up to, but not including, this time. | date and time · one hour after Start |
| Distributor energy | Grid energy charge. Required. | €/kWh |
| Distributor power | Grid power charge. Required; enter 0 if there is none. |

Schedule tab
The Schedule tab lists recurring entries: prices that repeat on chosen weekdays and months, between two times of day, within a validity period.
| Field / column | What it does | Unit / default |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Name of the entry. Required. | text |
| Day of week | Weekdays on which the entry applies. Multi-select with Select all and Deselect all. | Monday–Sunday |
| Month | Months in which the entry applies. Multi-select with Select all and Deselect all. | January–December |
| Start, End | Time of day the entry starts and ends. Required. | hh:mm · 00:00 |
| Valid from, Valid to | First and last day on which the entry applies. Required. | date |
| Distributor energy, Distributor power, Supplier energy buy, Supplier energy sell | As on the Timeline tab. Required. | €/kWh, €/kW |
| Time (column) | Time-of-day window of the entry. | hh:mm |
| Actions | Edit, copy and delete, as on the Timeline tab. | — |
The controller looks up the price for each moment from entries with a fixed start and end, as listed on the Timeline tab. For prices that must take effect, use Timeline entries or the price plan in the Reduxi Cloud.
3 How the prices are used
The controller works out two prices for every moment:
- Buy price = Distributor energy + Supplier energy buy + buy fee.
- Sell price = Supplier energy sell − sell fee.
| Function | How it uses the prices |
|---|---|
| Negative price mode | Applies its own settings while the price drops to zero or below. |
| AI energy manager, Battery / EVSE / HVAC optimization | Plans charging, discharging and loads from the prices of the coming hours. |
| MQTT v3 connector | Publishes the prices to the MQTT broker. |
| Distributor power | Shown and published; not used for optimization. |
4 Checklist
- The charts show prices for today, and for tomorrow when the AI energy manager is used.
- No two Timeline entries cover the same time.
- Supplier energy buy and Supplier energy sell match the supply contract, in €/kWh.
- Lasting price changes are made in the Reduxi Cloud price plan.
- The controller time and time zone are correct, so Now sits at the current time.
