⚡ Reduxi Configurator · User manual
Identifier and license
Look up the controller's identity, hardware and software versions, and how many devices its license allows.
📋 In this article
→ Overview
Two read-only pages describe the controller itself:
- Identifier shows who the controller is: its unit ID, serial numbers, MAC addresses, fitted modules and software versions. Send these values to support when you report a problem.
- License shows the license type and how many devices the controller may run.
Nothing on these pages can be changed in the Configurator.
1 Find the unit ID and versions
1
Open the page
In the left menu, click Settings, then System, then Identifier.
2
Copy what support needs
Note the Unit ID formatted and the Firmware version.
| Row | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Location | Site name entered on Settings → Grid. |
| Unit ID | Unique identifier of the controller. It is also the controller's name in the Reduxi Cloud and its MQTT client ID. |
| Unit ID formatted | The same ID in groups of four characters, as printed in the footer of every page. |
| CPU serial | Serial number of the processor. |
| EMMC Serial | Serial number of the internal memory. |
| Ethernet MAC | MAC address of the first Ethernet port. |
| Wireless MAC | MAC address of the Wi-Fi module. / when there is none. |
| WiFi module | present or not present. Without a Wi-Fi module, Wi-Fi settings and the emergency hotspot do not work. |
| Mobile module | present or not present. The Mobile tab on Settings → Network appears only when it is present. |
| OS version | Version (build date) of the operating system. |
| HW version | Hardware version of the controller board. |
| Firmware version | Build date and time of the controller software. It changes with every update. |
| Interface version | Build date and time of the Configurator web interface. |
What to send to support
Send the Unit ID formatted and the Firmware version. With these two values support can find the controller and knows which software it runs.
2 Check the license
1
Open the page
In the left menu, click Settings, then System, then License.
2
Compare with the site
Check that the number of devices on the site is within the limits shown.
| Type | What it means |
|---|---|
| LICENSE_TYPE | License level of the controller, for example LITE, STANDARD, PRO or INDUSTRIAL. |
| LIMIT_TOTAL_DEVICE_NUM | Maximum number of devices the controller may run. |
| LIMIT_HYBRID_INVERTER_NUM | Maximum number of hybrid inverters among them. |
When a limit is reached
- Adding or saving a device above the limit fails with "Valid license required to complete the current action".
- If the controller starts with more devices than the license allows, the devices above the limit do not start. Health check shows a DEVICE_NOT_RUNNING warning for them, and the strategy cannot control them.
Licenses are installed through the Reduxi Cloud or by Reduxi support. To raise a limit, contact your Reduxi partner with the Unit ID.
3 Checklist
- Unit ID formatted is recorded in the installation documents.
- WiFi module and Mobile module match the ordered hardware.
- LICENSE_TYPE matches the ordered license.
- The number of devices and hybrid inverters is within the license limits.
